Chapchai Nirat is a professional golfer from Thailand. He is nick named as King Kong as his drives are long. He turned a pro at the age of 15 and started his game at the age of 4. He started at this tender age to try and make a living for himself. His father, Chucheep was also a top golfer and played for the Thai national golf team. His father introduced Chapchai Nirat to the game and the best advice he got from his father was to be fearless. He spent two weeks in a monastery and the meditation techniques he learnt there help him in the game.
He competes on the PGA European and Asian tours. He won the Genting Masters in Malaysia in 2004. He is one of the longest hitters on Asian tour. His drives are long and his hitting of the tees is spectacular. His 4 iron tee shot on the 224 yard 11th hole are awe inspiring.
Record setting Win of Chapchai Nirat:
Chapchai Nirat’s moment came at the SAIL open in Gurgaon, India (2009). He set the world record by winning by 11 shots. He finished 32 under par with 72 hole score of 25556. The earlier record was set by Ernie Els by finishing at 31 under in 2003. Chapchai Nirat set records for 36 and 54 holes after shooting 62-62-65-67 at the tournament.
Other Victories of Chapchai Nirat:
Chapchai Nirat’s first pro victory came in 2004, Genting Masters in Malaysia. His victory on the European tour came at the TCL classic Sanya, Hainan Islands, China (2007). He opened with first round 61 and finished with a 22 under 266. He won by 3 strokes and became the third golfer from Thailand to win a European Tour event. The other two wins came at Hana Bank Vietnam Masters (2007 and 2009).
He also came close to adding more to his wins with two runners up finishes. He finished second to compatriot Thaworn Wiratchant at Taiwan open (2005). He finished second at the Volvo Masters of Asia, 2008.

All eyes are on Chapchai as he is the upcoming golfer with a lot of potential. He has set a world record scoring record over 72 holes. This is believed to be the lowest score to par on any tour in the world. He marched to an 11 stroke victory to a staggering 32 under par 256 winning aggregate at the Classic Golf Resort.
