Slotline putters refer to the famous putter series that was launched in the 1980s. Owing to their resounding success, these putters have made a comeback with their series, SL-300, SL-700 and SL-500. They have been launched by a Virginia Golf brand called Dynamic Brands. History of Slotline putters
The founder of Slotline putter was an aerospace engineer, Duke Duclos. He had pioneered in the concept of Moment of inertia in a putter which can prevent the ball from bouncing and hence following wayward ways. He had also incorporated multi-layered materials inside the putter which would enhance his properties of the putter. These was much earlier times, even before putter technology was appreciated to play a good role in improving the putts.
Slot line putters had become popular owing to their excellent feedback and associated feel in the 1980s. These were launched by golf giant, Slotline Golf. It was ranked among the third most popular golf brand only after Titleist and PING. However, this company ran into bad business after a decade and had to terminate rolling out new putters. With the launch of the new range of Slotline putters under the banner Dynamic Brands, it is as if the past is going to emerge as the future!
What are Slot line putters?
Slotline putters are made up of tri-milled faces that have specific engineering such that the surface area connecting the ball is reduced and there is a solid feel as well as feedback to the golfer. Each putter range in the series of SL-700 or SL 500 carries specifications which makes the putter all the more unique and handy. In the SL-700 series of Slot line putters, the material used to make them are aircraft grade aluminum and have tungsten in their design. The intention is to raise the NOI so that the ball does not get astray and follow sloppy paths. In the case of SL-500 series, high grade material and technology is used to develop these putters.
